Urban and Regional Governance

This research area studies the complex systems and processes involved in defining and implementing collective action at the city and regional level. The study of governance by definition encompasses the entire range of actors, institutional structures, relationships, and operations that are involved in the process of governing, whether from government, the private sector or civil society. Research projects within this area cover topics such as multi-level governance, strategic planning and decision-making processes, and public sector reform.
